"I left this exhibition feeling that I had wasted my time. If I had had to pay I would have immediately asked for my money back as I really felt that it was not at all thought provoking or a good use of the beautiful gallery. It is possible that I just
didn't understand the work but it really evoked no emotion and apart from the video projection in the basement, which was set up in a very interestiing manner but unfortunately the rest of the exhibition had rather dampened the urge to wait and see if the content improved, I found myself wondering how anyone else could enjoy it. "I though the last review was a bit over the top, but I ended up going with a friend. It is brilliant! Really it's about painting. We had the place to ourselves and took our time which was well worth it. What can I say - great stuff!"

"Peter Jospeh's show at the Lisson Gallery is truly a beautiful and moving show. The surface simplicity that draws you in, then goes on to move that secret place in yourself where you are forced to confront the very fragility of your own heart and reason for being. Fortunately their is a wisdom and compassion in the structure that does not mock your secrets, and you come away blessed with affirmation of the things that you cannot say yet need confirming to the self. This is a life affirming exhibition of work.
It is a credit to the Lisson Gallery that they continue to house such wonderful and brave work as this. Art that shows us not only who we are, but shows us a way to who we want to be. We should be grateful for it. I will be going again and again.
