The Camden Tup sits in the shadow of the world's end. its a rather up-beat trendy bar / pub with quiet music, couches, and a good selection of bottles at the bar. Its a fairly big pub in itself and makes good use of the spaces with a few big tables and there are always some empty chairs. The pub congregates as a almost a low-celing hall with stairs up to another floor. There is also food available but its pretty expensive at £7 for a salad. A mate of mine heads to the toilets to find lit candles on the cistern!! Watch out for that hairspray ladies!! The place also has a few tv's and shows the footy which is quite rare for camden but really its not Camden, its much more like a Barnet/ north london trendy townie corwd.
If your into this sort of thing then yes this is your pub (aside from the prices - £3.50 a pint) but although I was impressed with the look of the place it was in the wrong place and i did have enough money to enjoy it- 5/10:
Hello, I'm on a mission to visit and rate every pub, club and bar in the UK. I know what your thinking but don't worry- i've got an artificial liver on standby. read about Gregory Cristal's progress on his blog http://barblog.lastminuteliving.com/ |

"Camden is pretty much my second home, and never once did it occur to me that the Camden Tup existed. Tucked away in the alleyway, adjacent to the HSBC lies the most tranquil of pubs in Camden.
Having spotted the pub whilst perched on my seat in the Underworld, I necked my drink and hurried across the road. Once you drink at the boisterous Lock or had a few Jagers at the Good Mixer this pub is decent for leg up and a natter."

"This pub is off the main road, we found it quite by accident one afternoon. It has a lovely charm and feel to it. We received great service from friendly bar staff and the food we ordered was fresh and very nice.
They had had their theme night (cowboys and Indians and the Wild West) the night before and the decorations were still up which looked fantastic. We've joined their mailing list so we don't miss the next one. It looked like it would have been a lot of fun and if the chatty, friendly staff were anything to judge the place on, then we'll most certainly be coming back time and time again.
My husband may even have found his new football watching drinking spot!!""
