"It is my local and I used to go a lot. Nowadays, it is full of folk who wear hats indoors. The service is utterly woeful: last time I was there, the barman could clearly see my girlfriend had been waiting for about 10 minutes, but went over to a newly arrived group of what I assume were his friends, shook hands with them all and then proceeded to serve them first.
The food is overpriced and not terribly good, the clientele are shockingly loud, though with nothing interesting to say and the service...well. Avoid at all costs."

"I love the Stanley, but then I live opposite it, and have been going for 7 years. It was definitely better before the toffs from Promiscuous Hill took over and the staff are much much nicer to the locals, but the daily changing menu is always a delight, the food cooked in front of you with a lovely outdoor space. If you are hungry, this is the place to eat - the servings are huge, and the roasts on a Sunday ain't half bad.
The crowd is evolving, lots more 'too cool for school' indie kids, which is a bit annoying, but the locals temper that. And they really do know how to celebrate New Years!"
