Why not take a trip up western Europe’s tallest building, the Shard? At 800 feet, the skyscraper’s viewing platform The View from The Shard is almost twice the height of its closest competitor, the London Eye. From that high up London is like building blocks, the Thames a brown shoelace. Even the spires of the City, immediately north, appear suddenly small.
