Mews Estate to meet with residents from across LB Camden.

Mr Blair heard about the types of crime, drugs and disorder problems
residents experience on their estates, how local residents were
tackling them in partnership with the police and local council and
what his Government should be doing to address the problems.
Writing down notes, Mr Blair heard from:
Residents from Sidmouth Mews Estate - Joyce, Hilda and Ann, who
set up an after school kids club on their estate. As a result of
the after school kids club, anti social behaviour caused by young
adults has reduced to such an extent that there have been no complaints
to the district housing office about young people who live on the
estate since 2000 when the club was established
A resident of Camden Town organising a 'reclaim our streets' march
to send a message out to dealers that they're not welcome in the
area
A resident from a Camden Town Estate who told of daily problems
of drug users shooting up in doorways
A resident from Camden Town estate who had assisted in giving evidence
to help with closures of 'crack houses.
