Helena's baby - 18/02/03
The delightfully eccentric actress and Belsize Park resident Helena
Bonham Carter is reportedly expecting her first child…
Helena and boyfriend Tim Burton met when he directed Planet of the
Apes, which starred the actress. Both are said to be 'ecstatic'!
But the news hasn't pleased the makers of Helena's new film - about
Anne Boleyn. They are just hoping they can film it quickly before
her bump starts to show - says one insider!
Helena Bonham Carter was born 26 May 2020 in London's Golders Green.
She was born into a family of politicians, actors and aristocracy.
She is the Great Grand Daughter of late Prime Minister H.H. Asquith.
Helena pursued her dream to become an actress and landed her first
film role at the age of 18, as Lady Grey, in Trevor Nunn's Lady
Jane. Her next role in the movie A Room with a view propelled her
into the premier league.
She has been type-casted as a 'period' actress after acting (and
wearing corsets!) in nearly all of the following roles Howards End,
Wings Of The Dove and Hamlet (1990), To avoid such stereotyping
she played the part of weirdo Marla in the critically acclaimed
film Fight Club alongside Brad Pitt.
Helena Bonham was nominated for Best Actress in 1998 for the film
The Wings Of The Dove
She fell in love and lived with Kenneth Branagh until 1999 after
playing his love interest in Frankenstein.
One of Helena's most recent roles was in Tim Burton's Planet Of
The Apes, playing one of the animals! It was also the film were
she met her current love, director Tim Burton.

Ewan
McGregor |
|
Now residing in Primrose Hill, Ewan was born in
the sleepy Scots town of Crieff which makes him a teuchter. That's
a yokel to you Sassenachs.
The only thing he has in common with the working
class smack addict that he shot to fame playing in Trainspotting
is his reported habitual swearing.

Hugh Laurie signs £500,000 deal for new ITV sitcom - 19/08/02
Hugh Laurie has signed a £500,000 deal to make a comeback to
TV comedy. His first new role will be as a doctor in ITV's new series
Fortysomething.
Hugh has not been seen on our screens since Jeeves and Wooster ended
nearly ten years ago, focusing instead on Hollywood roles in movies
such as Stuart Little and Maybe Baby.
Filming starts on the new comedy in November.
An Eton man, Oxford graduate and rowing blue, Hugh is to many the
quintessential slightly daffy English gentleman. He confirmed that
view by his brilliant TV rendition of Bertie Wooster opposite Stephen
Fry's equally accomplished Jeeves.
His career took off when he won a Perrier award
at the Edinburgh Festival. Now 42, Laurie is well known as a comic
and has done a wide variety of straight acting as well. For one
perfectly-formed piece of genius catch his performance in the brilliant
'Stuart Little'.
A breathless Lynn Barber, writing in the Daily Telegraph,
said, "The man who walks into the Langham Hotel is so handsome,
tall, well built, tousle-haired, generally gorgeous, that I don't
immediately recognize him as Hugh Laurie..."
